As known Rome EuroGames 2019 will includes the discipline of golf. The Golf Club Parco de Medici is getting ready for an exciting competition that will bring Sports and Civil Rights to the greens of one of the most important venues that hosts prestigious international circuits throughout the year. With his 85 hectares, 3 Courses and 27 Holes, this complex is called Parco de Medici because is located near a historical castle called “Castello dei Papi” – Castle of the Popes – is found which was the country home of several popes during the Renaissance era. In particular Pope Leo X, alias Giovanni de’ Medici, son of Lorenzo the Magnificent. Pope Leo X lived in this castle with his court of scholars, musicians and artists. It was therefore the memory of this fabulous years which Pope Leo X lived in these walls, that inspired the promoters of the confining tourist and recreational complex to call it “Parco de’ Medici”.
Each individual tournament for each category (men and women) and every handicap level (Division A/B/C/D) will provide a first preliminary stage of 27 holes on Thursday, July 11 and Friday 12 July 2019 and a second phase with semi-finals and finals of 27 buc He that will take place on Saturday 13 July 2019. The Division A and B will involve a competition Stroke Play (play in rounds, where they will be counted the strokes performed in each hole, due to the player’s handicap) and Division C and D will involve a Stableford competition (Game with blows, where they will be assigned of points at the end of each hole). Each tournament Best Ball (best ball, a player will play against the best ball of three other players). For each category (men/women and mixed) will provide a first preliminary stage to be held on 11 July (Thursday) and on Friday 12 July 2019 and a second phase with semi-finals and finals which will take place on Saturday 13 July 2019. All players must be at least 18 years of age by the date of the event. Will apply the rules laid down by the R & A.
